When I was listening to your broadcast the last week, Scott Ginsburg mentioned the book the Introvert Advantage, which caught my attention, because that was the book I was currently reading.  I wanted to share a personal story about the Introvert Advantage and make a plug for you reading it - If you haven’t already.   Not surprisingly, I am an introvert and this book truly was filled with A-ha moments.  I also work with someone who is introverted and while our scheduled meetings have been okay, they have not been very productive.  From the book, I now understand that an introvert’s brain operates differently than the extravert brain.  Combining this knowledge with your GRUFA idea, I sent her an e-mail to implement an agenda for all of our scheduled meetings (with attached suggested agenda).  At our last meeting, we reviewed the agenda, and followed it and at the end both agreed it was the most productive and quickest meeting we had to date.  We also made the agenda and our meeting more efficient and effective by establishing a method for adding questions to the agenda prior to the meeting.  So, during my question time, I forward the questions I know I will need to ask ahead of time and she does the same.  Then we can both mull over the questions and have answers ready thereby reducing the number of spontaneous questions that arise during the session that we didn’t anticipate, which lowers the stress level introverts feel in response to being asked questions their brain haven’t had time to think about.
