Lilach Chemtob, Esq.
Experience and Background
Lilach Chemtob is a partner of the Wender Law Group and is mainly operating from the Orange
County office. She visits our Manhattan office on a regular basis and whenever her presence is
required.
Lilach began her legal career in Israel in 2001 and joined the Wender Law Group, as Of Counsel,
in early 2004. She became a partner in mid 2006. At the inception of her legal career, Lilach
worked as an attorney, pending admission, at the Israeli firm of Weinberg-Doron where she
specialized in commercial, contracts and real estate law. Upon her arrival to NY in late 2002,
Lilach completed her LLM degree at Fordham School of Law.
Lilach currently practices tax law (local, State, Federal and International taxation), corporate
counseling, mergers & acquisitions, commercial law, contractual work, estate administration, wills
and trusts and real estate transactions (purchases, acquisitions and leasing) . Lilach has
concentrated on representing small to mid-sized corporate clients, accompanying their business
from its very inception, choosing the correct legal structure, through handling employment issues,
financing issues, litigation matters, partnership agreements and all such other legal matters
arising in the day-to-day life and business of the clients. Lilach’s tax background enables her to
compliment the senior partner’s areas of expertise and together, they are able to provide a
complete array of legal advice from the simplest to the most complex matters.
Over the years of her practice with the Firm, Lilach has become synonymous with the firm’s
name. Her personal and caring attitude towards the clients, has been apparent not only in
connection with the client’s legal needs but also in connection with their personal lives. At the
same time, Lilach has provided an excellent level of professionalism, ethical standards and legal
advice, all at the high standards of care established by the firm.
Additionally, Lilach was a staff member of the Fordham Law School International Law Review and
the Law Journal published by the Israeli College of Management Academic Studies Law School.
In her last year at Law School in Israel, Lilach also took a major part in editing and preparing for
publication the "Book of Shamgar", a special project encompassing several legal articles in honor
of the retired Israel's Supreme Court Justice, Meir Shamgar.
Lilach is a certified Mediator working in conjunction with Shollem, an alternative dispute resolution
center for Israelis in New York.
Lilach is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Israel Bar Association. Lilach
is also a member of the "Rockin' Referral" Chapter of BNI, in the Hudson Valley Region.
Education
Lilach is a graduate of the College of Management Academic Studies in Rishon Le Zion, Israel,
where she received both her law degree (L.L.B.). and B.A. in Business Management in 2001. She
graduated both degrees Cum Laude. Lilach obtained her LL.M. from Fordham University School
of Law in 2003 where she graduated Cum Laude from the Finance, Banking and Corporate
division. She speaks English, Hebrew, and conversational French.
